This post is a collection of moments captured during my 5-days trip with my family to Mumbai-Lonavala. Of course, we missed out on many tourist spots but this trip was more about making memories. Out of our group of 7 people, 5 were going to board an airplane for the first time and were going to see sea for the first time. So everything else was just an incentive. The trip was all about having a good time that we surely had. Will cover the rest whenever Mumbai calls us again.
Ayaan, all elated to know that he would be going for his first air journey the next morning..
The aeroplane adulator. Ayaan, seen here as a content soul to have a grand view of aeroplanes through the glass walls of IGI airport.
Ayaan’s subject of adulation on the other side of the glass wall…
Up above the world so high….
View outside of Ayaan’s aeroplane window…
After the merry-go-round trolley ride @ the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
Check-in @ Hotel Sun and Sand, Juhu Beach…
Our hotel, barely 200 meters from senior Bachchan’s ‘Jalsa’
From Sun and Sand to Sun and sea @ Juhu beach
Ayaan @ Juhu Beach with nanu
Waiting for the next wave with papa 🙂
Ayaan spelling out his name…
Chuski @ chaupati for mama, walk for Ayaan 🙂
Chuski might not have interested Ayaan, but the colourful bottles behind nanu surely did 🙂
Nanu, nani, dadu and dadi enjoying the delightful sea view 🙂
The wave – youthful and playful 🙂
Beach, ball, boys and boat 🙂
A fresh water dip was the next in turn 🙂
Ayaan says it’s a big triangle. We say it’s the Bandra-Worli Sea Link..
This best explained the concept of contrast to Ayaan. B for big, B for building…S for small, S for slum…
@ the Pedder Road. The Ambani building at the right…er….Ambani household with a helipad at the top 🙂
Papa, mama, myself and the Marine Drive..
Make way for the Gateway…
All caps, all royal…
Pigeons are more than boats … Ayaan loves pigeons more than boats…
The Taj and the tree. Shelter for us humans at the back, shelter for birds at the fore 🙂
Fun @ ferry with father
Look Ayaan, the cheerful Black-headed Gull! The sight made our day… 🙂
The elegance…..
Mesmerizing sight of a mighty merchant ship ..
The sea breeze effect…
Soul of Elephanta – Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh
Shopping fun @ Elephanta…
The cute toy train was the mode of transport from the ferry to Elephanta..
Luminous night view of Haji Ali captured on the way back from the Gateway to the hotel via Marine Drive.
Okay, besides the lush trees the road has another specialty. It has residences of cine stars Dharmendra, Ajay Devgn and Aditya Chopra. Captured while on the way to Wadala to meet a relative.
The shoot at Wadala. 🙂 Ayaan with his cousin, Vanya, in Mumbai. 🙂
Spotted a double-decker bus on the way to Lonavala..
Resorts are for relaxation and rejuvenation
At the Whispering Woods, Lonavala
The monkey point sans monkeys 🙂
Monkeys sans the Monkey point 🙂
Picturesque shack tops at the Lions Point!!!
Caption on the board 🙂
The famous Maganlal Chikki. And Maganlal is not the man in the picture. It’s the chikki brand 🙂
The beautiful Narayani Dham temple…
Devi Narayani…
Wax statue of Gandhiji…
There are two wax Museums in Lonavala. This is the authentic one. They say the other one simply import dolls from China.
Ayaan poses adjacent the befitting wax statue of Mr. Bean 🙂
This marks the end of our two-day trip to Lonavala…
Back to Mumbai to spend the last evening before the early morning flight back to home. Ayaan was glad to see the butterfly highway lights once again.
Once again a check-in @ T24 Residency, Marol , Andheri East
Glad to be in the clear, blue water again.. 🙂
Our last dinner in Mumbai…
The dawn at the Mumbai international airport…afternoon was going to be in Delhi 🙂
All set to board with the boarding passes in hand..
